General submission Information
Tissues should be fixed in 10% neutral buffered formalin (for tips on fixation, click the button at the bottom of the page). Pre-filled biopsy jars are convenient and are available from a variety of sources. I have been using a brand from Cancer Diagnostics with minimal leakage, but other scientific supply companies also provide these (Medline.com, Universalmedicalinc.com, etc). I have been supplying 20 ml for small samples, 90 ml and 120 ml for larger. I don't advise shipping any larger than 120 ml if possible. Here are a few links:

Pre-Filled Container with Click Close Lid: Tite-Rite, 120mL (4oz), PP, Filled with 60mL of 10% Neutral Buffered Formalin, Attached Hazard Label, 24/Box, 4 Boxes/Unit (medjesticmedical.com)
Tite-Rite Containers Prefilled with 10% Neutral Buffered Formalin Globe Scientific (universalmedicalinc.com)
Pre-Filled 10% Formalin Container | Medline Industries, Inc.
Please close containers tightly and provide protective packaging (such as the plastic jars pictured above) to avoid breakage of the biopsy containers. Some shippers dispose of leaking packages without notification and we don't want your samples lost. To avoid problems I advise restricting the biopsy container size to 120 ml or less. Here are links to a couple of sizes of protective white polypropylene jars and lids (lids sold separately from the jars) and for padded shipping envelopes:
8 oz. jar for 90 ml and 120 ml formalin containers - https://www.containerandpackaging.com/products/100/pp-single-wall-jar/J310WH
2 oz jar for 20 ml formalin containers - https://www.containerandpackaging.com/products/100/pp-single-wall-jar/J036
Padded envelopes for either size - https://www.staples.com/Staples-Self-Seal-0-6-X-9-White-Bubble-Mailer-250-Pack/product_1938415
