Dr. Rowland has a unique background perfectly suited to diagnostic pathology, with five years of practical clinical experience combined with several years of diagnostic service and teaching, both students and residents, while at Cornell University. He began his biopsy service in order to provide a smaller, more personalized alternative to larger laboratories.
Dr. Rowland has extensive experience in general diagnostic pathology, but also has special training and interest in dermatopathology, tumor pathology and hepatobiliary pathology. He developed a lifelong interest in dermatopathology while studying and working with Danny Scott and Bill Miller at Cornell; is a member of the International Society of Veterinary Dermatopathology and enjoys the challenge of getting to the bottom of difficult skin cases. He also takes great interest in tumor pathology and is currently studying the grading and prognosis of soft tissue sarcomas and lymphoma as a member of the Oncology-Pathology Working Group. He has studied diseases of the hepatobiliary system and continues to see referral liver biopsies.
His mission is to provide personalized service to a select group of colleagues with whom he can develop a long lasting, mutually beneficial and satisfying relationship.
